Jamie to Steven/New Jersey Wedding Photographer

February 12, 2011
Westmount Country Club
Woodland Park, NJ

So after some time is my first post of the new year. At least for weddings. One thing I'm going to try and do this year is make the blog a bit of a review for my couples favorite vendors. No negative things will be posted but only if a couple was happy with that vendor. I believe they should get props. So at the end of the write up there will be a list of the couples favorite vendors so other brides can read up on some of the "better" vendors there are in case they are wondering.
So with that here are some images from Jamie & Steve's day. First I want to say what an amazing couple Jamie & Steve were. They had to deal with some major adversities and still rolled with the punches and were really great to be with all day. To all their friends & family I want to say thank you!!
Drew & I arrived at Jamie's home in the morning. I love when we arrive and everyone is just so happy. We had a great time capturing the girls getting ready for the day. And although it was cold it wasn't snowing!!! And after this winter that was a plus. So we were able to take some beautiful photos outside. It was then off to the ceremony and then to the "one & only" Westmount Country Club. Jamie & Steve set aside extra time for pictures which I soooo appreciate!!
The reception room looked amazing. The colors really set the mood. THe rest of the night was spend dancing the night away.
Here are some of Jamie & Steve's favorite vendors.

#1) Here are my likes...
Venue was, of course, the Westmount Country Club. They were AMAZING...it is beautiful and they were incredibly accomodating allowing us to come early to shoot pictures. Bobby Galluci, Karen and all of the staff were also awesome, and on top of everything. I really had not one worry that it would be exactly as I pictured it.

Flowers were Atlas Florist (through Westmount)...also beautiful. I didn't really know what I wanted, but when he showed me a centerpiece, I teared up because it was so pretty. Definitely did a beautiful job.

Dress: Helen Bohn Bridal in Washington Township, NJ. This is a small bridal store that has been around for over 50 years. It can't be judged by how it looks from the outside (it's a small victorian home). The girls there picked 6 dresses for me to try on from my few pictures, they were all beautiful and I knew withing 30 minutes which was "the dress." My mom got her dress there and had the same experience, and we ordered all the girls dresses through them. They also give the bridesmaids discounts if there are 5 girls and the bride gets her dress there. They really know what they're doing. My dress was by Maggie Sotero.

Band: JK Entertainment. I thought they were great, and we've heard all really good things from our guests. People we know who don't prefer DJs at weddings told us they loved the band. It seemed like everyone was dancing all night and I had a great time with them.

Photographer: Jeff Tisman!! I will write on your website and tell everyone how wonderful you and Drew were and how happy I am :)

Gotta love macaroni & cheese.

Saw this reflection in the table. Loved the back lighting.

The next 2 show the fun & pain of being a bride. One moment your happy, the next people are roughing you up getting your dress on. :)

Jamie really looked incredible. I could have posted every shot of her.

I really love this image.

The girls having some fun.

Another great couple having fun during the ceremony.

Their first shot as Mr. & Mrs.

The next 3 were the Westmount Country Club. Really great details to shoot.

First dance.

Starting to have fun having my couples really cut into their cake.

End it with a kiss.
