So here is Aurora's three year old portrait. (How did she get so big?!) I have great images from birth to two, but I wanted something more with this one, something really special to mark this milestone. I wanted to stop time for a moment and capture a little piece of the pure joy of her childhood. I also wanted a more "stylized" look. It's what I tell all my couples, families, kids, whomever I'm shooting. It's the little details that make all the difference. I feel I captured who she is at this point in her life. And if there was any doubt into Daddy's influence, look no further than her favorite little friend, Mickey Mouse who she doesn't like to leave the house with out, and of course her Wolf hat to keep her warm. We started in the studio one day and then out on location the next. As far as the location, I scouted out some spots, knocked on a door and asked if we could shoot in their field.
There are so many great shots it was really hard to narrow it down. It's kind of funny because that's a great compliment I receive from my clients, too many great shots (if that's possible.) So it was interesting trying to narrow it down. Here are just a few of my favorites from Aurora at THREE.
This shot could be my favorite...
These captured her so well, she is hamming it up and she's quite the character!!!
She loves dancing & singing!
I Loved this series with Mickey.
The next series was from day two. Again a little stylizing and a great location along with the cutest kid ever...(I may be a little biased :) And yes, the clouds are real!! We had about a 10 minute window while this storm rolled in.
So here is where utilizing a location comes in. Basically these two locations were across the street from each other. But with an outfit change and props it has two very distinct looks. There were so many great ones from this part of the session I loved so many of them! Aurora loved, well, being Aurora!
Love this one!! Can I say that with all of them? :)
Howling with the flag.
See ya real soon!
