The Manhattan Penthouse
And so it begins...yes, the start of another great wedding season. The first wedding of the year got off to a snowy start. And with such little snow this year Amy & Lee could have been upset but instead they embraced it and went with it. Drew & I arrived at the room to find Amy not there yet. She was still at the salon getting ready. Which worked out great because we were able to spend a little more time with Lee and his son. After doing some fun shots with them we headed back to Amy's room and the big reveal. We then headed out in to the cold, snowy and windy street for some classic NY images. What a great couple!!! Headed back into the hotel for all the rest of the family and friends images and then off to the ceremony. There reception immediately followed at The Manhattan Penthouse. Great start to another great year of weddings!!! Check out some of my favs from the day.j
Here was the scene from Lee's room looking down onto the snowy city.
and the detail inscribed inside.
Drew captured the next 2 images. Great shots.
The boys getting ready for the big day.
Thought this was a really telling shot. I'm standing in the middle of the room. That's Lee's dad helping Haydon getting ready in a reflection in one mirror while Lee was in the bathroom in another mirror.
Nice moment between Lee & mom.
HA!!! Lee a little excited for the day. :)
Their first reveal. Notice the "nervousness & excitement" of Amy's finger on her hand. Awwwww. :)
Love this image of the two them.
Amy looked beautiful. Just shot against a wall in the hotel room. Great texture.
I was going for the "Abraham Lincoln" memorial shot here. :)
Looking good Hayden!
LOVE this shot. Being at the right place at the right time. I remember seeing this little girl out of the corner of my eye while I was shooting and she was so happy. She was smiling the entire time she walked by. Kermit looks pretty happy as well.
Classic NY image.
This one was tough to choose. The whole series of these images were great. Gotta love Amy's boots!
The flower girls. These 2 were great all day. They had so much fun!Fun moment between Amy & her sister before the ceremony.
And a little secret telling too...
Big walk up the aisle.
Another great image by Drew.
Some serious reading.
Drew and his now famous "tilt shift" lens in action. Beautiful image.
Great details and color.
The first dance.
The toasts being received...
The toasts being given.
A great reception. Amy & Lee really enjoyed themselves!
End with a kiss over NYC.
