Greenacres Country Club, Princeton, NJ

I knew this was going to be my kind of Bar Mitzvah when everything including the ceremony was not taking place in a temple but all at the Greenacres Country Club. It was great. It made it possible for me to capture the ceremony for the first time in all my years of capturing events since temples don't allow anyone to capture the ceremony. I was able to catch such a great moment where Ben is having his first drink as a man. His expression says it all.
That was just one reason. The other reason was when talking over the day with Courtney, Ben's mom, she told me how much Ben didn't really want all his pictures in his suit. Perfect!!! I don't want to wear my suit either. So Ben showed up before his service and we had some time capturing really great images of who he is. The party was pretty insane. Beautifully decorated and non stop fun. I think Ben's dad had the most fun of all as evident below. Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.
