Please Touch Museum, Philadelphia, PA.

WOW!! Where to begin... I guess from the start is always a good thing. Drew & I headed out to the home of brotherly love, Philadelphia. We met Fareha in a very small room with a lot of woman inside. It was a party atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Love it when we show up and everyone is in good spirits and loose. Yes, I admit there are some wedding's we show up to and of course everyone is happy but there's a little nervousness in the air. But Fareha and her friends were awesome. So after some prep shots we had their first reveal. It was a great moment as Chris surprised Fareha wearing a Sherwani, a traditional South Asian dress for men at weddings. She had no idea and thought all along he would be in a traditional suit. Be sure to check out the pics below. After some images in the hotel we headed to Please Touch Museum. If you've never been there before and have kids what are you waiting for!!! What an amazing place for kids & adults. Ok- back to the day. Since it was a little hot that day I found a nice shady spot to do some shots of the 2 of them before we were joined by the bridal party then the family.
Once we were done it was right on to the Baraat. For those who don't know it's a grooms parade leading to the ceremony. Everyone dancing, singing, juggling, banging drums. So great. I love being involved in different cultures and seeing how they celebrate. So much fun. This led us to the steps of Please Touch where Chris was greeted by Fareha's family and officially welcomed. We then headed inside for the ceremony where Chris's parents and friends sang songs and read prayers for the bride & groom.
After the ceremony we spent some time in Please Touch taking advantage of some of the museum's displays. Of course the rest of the night was spent celebrating and partying. Thank you Fareha, Chris, your family & friends for making us feel so welcome and for a great evening. Here are some favorites from the day.
