Melissa & Anthony/ The Palace at Somerset Park

Trying to get back on track after a very busy and great 2015. The wedding season began right away into 2016. Literally. New Years Day was the day Melissa and Anthony chose for their day. They chose the beautiful Palace at Somerset Park. Thank you so much Melissa and Anthony for making me feel so welcome. I truly felt like I was capturing a friends wedding. It was also nice to start the year off with Peter and his crew from PF Films

Here is their story:

It was August 2009 when I had the very pleasure of meeting my now husband, Anthony. It was a very brief meet on a mutual friends back deck. Little did I know I had just met the man I would spend the rest of my life with five years later! Anthony and I had established a very good friendship. I would actually consider it a best friend level. I had just moved to a new town and befriended pretty much everyone he grew up with (including the two girls weddings I was in Heather & Tiffany). We were inseparable. We did everything together. What I actually find funny is Anthony and I were anti relationships and marriage at that point in our lives. Sooner or later we found ourselves sneaking off at parties for make out sessions haha!

October 10, 2010 at a party called "Celebration of Life" Anthony and I made it official. He moved in with me and we had begun the next five years of our lives together. Through good and bad, happy and sad, we created a life of our own.

On November 29, 2014 guess who got down on one knee!! We went to Newport, Rhode Island with two other couples the day after Thanksgiving. What a blast! And those Lobster Rolls, OMG. Anyway, we did three mansion tours that day. It's actually funny because on the second mansion tour, I got down on one knee (jokingly) and "fake proposed" to Anthony. He immediately grabbed me and stood me up SO embarrassed and flustered which I found strange because when I usually make an ass out of myself he laughs about it. (It makes sense now) An hour later at our last mansion tour called The Breakers Mansion, Anthony got down on one knee on the back terrace at the end of tour and proposed to me in front of loads of people. It was the best feeling I had ever felt. I'll never forget that moment.

An entire year of planning and creating this vision of the perfect wedding finally came true on January 1, 2016. We started the new year as husband and wife It was THE BEST DAY of my life. Everything about our wedding day was perfect in every way. Jeff made us feel so comfortable and we couldn't be any more thankful to have had the opportunity of a lifetime to work with him. (I stalked his pictures for two full years) LOL

We love you Jeff. You are a true inspiration and talent. Even though I couldn't really get my body into certain poses because of my back, I still felt like a rocking bride filled with so much excitement all because of you. Thank you for capturing our Happy New Year!

All our love,

Melissa & Anthony Illiano

One of my favorite moments for me personally has become a 'first reveal' with dad. One of the most emotional moments of the day.
