Amy + Jeremy/Rock Island Lake Club

Rock Island Lake Club, Sparta NJ

Amy & Jeremy were a great couple who were up for anything. It was my first time at Rock Island Lake Club. I loved it. Of course the couple and their friends helped in making it such a great day. Even for a Thursday the guests rocked and danced the night away. The beautiful setting and weather allowed them to have a gorgeous lakefront ceremony. Thank you Amy & Jeremy for a great Summer evening.

And now here is their story.

Our story began when we met the summer before 8th grade! Jeremy was my first 'official' boyfriend. A few month later our relationship (ha!)
came to an end. We were so young that we never even got to share a first kiss! Both of our families moved, and we lost touch...

Jeremy was living in Portland, OR and fell in love with the city and lifestyle. He would have stayed in Oregon if it wasn't for a post he made on my
Facebook page on August 16, 2011. Jeremy posted his phone number on my wall and asked me to text him sometime.
My best friend Simona saw the post and asked me why some weirdo was posting his phone number on my Facebook wall! Lucky for me, I was curious
enough to text to say hello and catch up on the last 20+ years. A few texts turned into long phone calls, many Skype sessions.and several trips
across the county. I fell in love with Oregon, but since both our families were on the east coast, Jeremy decided to move back to NJ in April of 2012.

After a few years of dating, Jeremy proposed on Thanksgiving day 2014 right before dinner, and in front of my family. He interrupted right before we said
Grace and got on one knee to ask me if I would be Mrs. Karnai. I couldn't have been more excited. My engagement ring is extremely sentimental. Jeremy designed the ring using my mom's engagement diamond as well as incorporating my favorite color purple with additional amethyst stones set in the ring. My mom passed in 2001 of cancer, but I felt she was a part of our engagement in spirit. It was truly a day I will always be thankful for!

As any of our friends will share with you, we have opposite personalities. Jeremy is much more laid back that I am, as he is the Ying to my Yang. We wanted to find a venue and have a wedding day that had some traditional elements but also incorporated personality. We were so lucky to find a venue that
we both loved and allowed us to have a beautiful ceremony lakeside..Rock Island Lake Club. Next to find a photographer! After hours of research, I
stumbled upon Jeff's website. The pictures were gorgeous and after we met I knew that his ability to see things differently was a perfect match
to capture our day. Although I was hesitant, Jeff convinced me to do a first look for our wedding. I am so grateful he convinced me to do the first look.
It was such a special moment for us and it relieved the jitters I had before seeing Jeremy. I can remember being so excited to walk down to the alter and
being able to say our vows in front of our guests.

We truly had a perfect day and couldn't have been happier. The food, drinks and party were exceptional and being with our family and friends
was the best day of our lives. We look forward to years to come and hope to use Jeff to capture our memories.
