Again I know I'm a little behind but I hope to be caught up this week. After hearing so much about Bonnet Island Estate I was really looking forward to shooting there. It's an amazing venue for a wedding with endless places to shoot everywhere. We arrived Thursday night and ended up going to Atlantic City with the groom Dan and best man Mike. And yes, I'm sure you guessed it. The tables were not kind to us except for Dan. Guess it's a little "wedding luck".
The next day was the wedding and what a great couple they were. Kim was smiling ear to ear the whole day. They were 2 of the nicest people we've ever photographed.
I decided to do the blog a little different this week, more like spreads for an album. Check out the shot of the cake on the details page. It was a work of art! The wedding was coordinated by Kate at Katydid Flower Studio (732-872-0074) who was a pleasure to work with. Thanks to Kim's dad for putting us up 2 nights at Bonnet Island and to Dan & Kim for a great time.

Today Drew and I headed over to the historic Nassau Inn in Princeton for Jenni & John's wedding.They had their first date in Princeton at Ricky's Candy & Ice Cream Shop so we went over and did some fun shots amongst the candy. Just for the record, John is a lame bubble blower!
We then walked over to Princeton University for the rest of the formals then back to the Nassau Inn for partying into the night. Thanks to Georgianne at Monday Morning Flowers for the flowers and the cool flower balls for the "fairy" flower girls. (yes, I know it sounds like a run on sentence.) And to Barkley at the Nassau Inn for being one of the best event coordinators out there!

I'm a little behind in getting my blogging done. It's been a busy wedding season but a great deal of fun. I knew when we arrived at Brittas home and dad was blasting the Grateful Dead through the stereo, we were in for good times. Britta & Nick chose to do all the pictures before hand. We started at the home, then to a lake where Britta grew up and then on to Perona Farms. The tattoo shot of Nick and his bro was on their wrists and it means "Brothers Forever, Forever Brothers." Having 2 bros, I thought that was very cool. Now if I could convince my brothers to get tattoo's...
Thanks to Dan at Perona Farms for taking care of Drew and I and giving Britta & Nick a great day. And thanks to Britta & Nick for being a super cool couple and letting us be part of their day.

Red Bank, NJ

Julia & Ilya's big day took place at The Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank NJ. Red bank is always something special to me because it's where I pretty much learned
my art from Danny Sanchez. He is one of the best in Red Bank and anywhere else. Kind of feels like going back to where it all began.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding. They were married out on the deck overlooking the Navasink River. Afterwards it was a rockin' party with lots o' dancing.
My friend Mitch from Reisbord Video was the videographer. Thanks for a great day guys.

Throughout history there have always been dynamic duos. Batman had Robin, Lone Ranger had Tonto, Springsteen had Clarence, I have Drew. My trusty assistant. Here's my props to him. His weekly mugshot.

So I'm starting to offer my couples "day after" shoots for those that want to get "dressed" back up. I photographed Adrienne & Drew's wedding quite some time ago.( I won't embarrass them with the fact that their wedding was over 3 years ago and they waited all this time to do their book) :)
They just recently came to me to do their album and I mentioned the "day after" idea and they said they were into it. So over the July 4th holiday we picked a day and went out and had some fun. We found an abandoned train on a road disregarding the no trespassing sign and got some great shots. We didn't even have to "trash the dress".
Adrienne is a huge Gwar fan and wouldn't you know it, the "other" Gwar fan graffitied the wall so we of course had to take a rock shot!
I also want to give a big thanks to Georgianne of Monday Morning Flower and balloon company for putting the bouquet of flowers together for us. She and I have been working weddings together for years and she's definitely one of the best florists out there. Enjoy the pics,

Brett and Adams wedding took place at one of the most amazing estates I've ever photographed. The Osborn Castle in Garrison New York. It sits on over 100 acres of mountains and woods with views of the Hudson Valley and New York City in the distance. The day started a little warm with some rain here and there but once again it did not get in the way of the outdoor ceremony or the photos. Brett is a school teacher in NY and Adam works at great magazine called "Heeb". Check it out. Bretts flowers were designed by her friend Denise Fasanello who came in from Brooklyn. Thanks to Hank at the castle for letting us photograph in and out of the site; to Scott from NYLA Studios Cinematography and to Brett and Adam for being two awesome people to photograph. Today we photographed Christina & Christopher's wedding at Fernbrook Bed & Breakfast. An awesome estate tucked away from all the hustle of NJ. Almost feels like being in Vermont. Christina's dad is the head chef at Main Street Catering so the food was over the top!! Salmon, tuna, steak, shrimp, salads, veggies, they had it all!! Some of the best food I've ever had. It was a great day with partying all night. They were a very fun group to photograph. Thanks also to Adrienne at Dahlia Floral Concepts for the arrangements.
Oh yeah, this is a shot of the photo list Christina gave me. Thought it was funny... the first 3 shots she wanted me to get. The bride, groom, and the 2 of them together. Thanks for the heads up Christina. I always seem to forget those shots. :)
